2. What access methods are supported?

Both models support multiple secure access types:

ZD-R70

3. Do I need Wi-Fi for smart features?

  • Basic functions (PIN, fingerprint, mechanical key) work offline.

  • App control, push notifications, remote unlocking & access logs require connectivity via the supported IoT/Wi-Fi bridge.

4. Is a smartphone required?

A smartphone is optional for basic unlock methods, but needed for advanced features like:

  • Remote control

  • Access log view

  • Push notifications

Both iOS and Android apps are supported.

5. Can I still use a key manually?

Yes — both models include a mechanical key override for emergency entry if batteries fail.

6. How long do batteries last?

Both locks use AA alkaline batteries:

  • Typically last 6–10 months in normal use.

  • Low battery warnings appear via keypad and app.

7. What door thicknesses do they support?

  • SHP-P72: approximately 38–80 mm door thickness range.

  • ZD-R70: fits most standard UK doors (~40–60 mm).

8. Is face recognition secure?

Yes — ZD-R70 uses advanced AI facial recognition technology with lighting and angle compensation. It distinguishes real faces from images or photos for higher security.

9. Can I manage multiple users?

Both models let you register:

  • Up to 50+ fingerprints

  • Multiple PIN codes, key tags, or mobile keys
    (Exact limits depend on the model.)

10. What security alerts are there?

Both locks support:

  • Low battery alerts

  • Auto-lock features

  • Intrusion or forced entry alarms

11. What if my battery dies completely?

You can temporarily power the lock using a 9V battery on the external terminal (model-dependent) or use your mechanical key to open.

Note: Batteries are not included.

12. Does the lock work in cold or wet climates?

Smart locks are designed for normal UK residential conditions, but not for direct heavy rain exposure — a porch or canopy is recommended.

13. Do these locks integrate with smart home systems?

Integration (e.g., Alexa, Google Home) depends on your connectivity setup and supporting bridge device. Check appliance compatibility on the app and IoT bridge documentation.

14. What is included in the box?

Your purchase typically includes:

15. What warranty do I get?

All Zigbang smart door locks in the UK include a 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing and component defects. This is in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

16. How do I find my product’s serial or ID?

The Product ID / Serial is on:

  • The product’s original packaging

  • Your warranty card or distributor label

This number is needed for warranty registration and support.

17. What if I change my mind or want a return?

For Amazon purchases, returns follow Amazon’s return policy and must be initiated through your Amazon account. For non-Amazon channels, contact support@atelierkhan.co.uk.

18. How do I claim warranty support?

Submit:

  • Proof of purchase
